Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply when you use FinnsDirect.co.uk or place an order with us.

Please read them carefully before ordering. Nothing in these Terms limits any legal rights available to consumers.

1. About us

FinnsDirect is a trading name of Finnsmate Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

Company registration number: 16853223    VAT registration number: 507211236

Registered office: Finnsmate Limited, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

Our registered office is not a product returns address. Please contact us before returning anything.

You can contact us through our Contact Us form or by emailing support@finnsdirect.co.uk.

2. Products

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images and other information are accurate.

Product images are illustrative, and manufacturer packaging, colours or minor details may occasionally change without materially affecting the product.

Before ordering, please check that the product is suitable for your requirements, including its voltage, dimensions, size, battery platform, compatibility and included accessories.

This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, incorrectly described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

3. Prices and VAT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling. Where prices excluding VAT are displayed, the applicable VAT and the total price including VAT will also be clearly shown before an order is placed.

Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be displayed during checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but this will not affect orders we have already accepted.

If we discover an obvious pricing or product-information error, we may contact you for instructions or cancel the affected order and refund any payment received.

4. Placing and accepting an order

After you place an order, we will normally send an automated acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. The acknowledgement is not acceptance of your order.

A contract is formed when we send you confirmation that the relevant product has been dispatched.

We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch if the product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, the information supplied is incomplete or incorrect, we identify suspected fraud or misuse, an age-restriction requirement is not satisfied, or there is an obvious pricing or product-information error.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the affected amount.

5. Payment

Available payment methods will be shown at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method selected and that the information you provide is accurate.

Payment may be authorised or collected when the order is submitted, even though the contract is not formed until dispatch.

We may carry out reasonable payment-security, fraud-prevention or identity checks.

6. Availability and backorders

All products are subject to availability. Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it.

If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we may provide an updated delivery estimate; offer you the opportunity to wait; offer an alternative with your agreement; or cancel and refund the affected product.

Products available for backorder, pre-order or special order will normally have an estimated lead time displayed on the product page or communicated separately.

7. Delivery

We deliver to addresses on mainland UK only, subject to postcode, courier and product restrictions.

Orders are normally delivered within 3–5 working days, unless a different estimate is shown on the product page, during checkout or in the order confirmation.

Delivery times are estimates unless a service is expressly described as guaranteed.

We may dispatch an order in more than one parcel or from more than one fulfilment location. You will not be charged an additional delivery fee simply because we divide an order.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please contact us promptly if your order is delayed, damaged in transit or appears to be missing.

8. Cancelling before dispatch

You may ask us to cancel an order before dispatch by using our contact form or emailing support@finnsdirect.co.uk.

We will try to cancel it, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once warehouse processing, packing or dispatch has begun.

If the order has already been dispatched, consumer customers may use the cancellation and returns rights below.

9. Consumer cancellations and returns

You may cancel an eligible online purchase without giving a reason by notifying us within 14 days after the day you receive the product.

After notifying us, you must return the product within a further 14 days.

You can cancel by emailing support@finnsdirect.co.uk or completing our Contact Us form.

Please contact us before returning a product so we can provide the correct return address and instructions. Returns are only accepted by prior arrangement via email or our Contact Us form.

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the return postage; the product should be unused, complete and in its original packaging where reasonably possible; all parts, accessories and manuals should be returned; and the product may be inspected on return.

You may inspect the product as you reasonably could in a shop. We may reduce the refund where unnecessary or excessive handling has diminished its value.

Some products may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation where the law permits, including personalised products, certain sealed products after opening, and products that have become inseparably mixed with other goods.

These exclusions do not affect your rights where a product is faulty or incorrectly described.

10. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

Please contact us promptly if a product is faulty, damaged when delivered, incomplete, different from the product ordered or not as described.

We may request your order number, photographs, video, serial number or other reasonable information needed to assess the problem.

We will provide appropriate return or collection instructions. Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrect, FinnsDirect will cover the reasonable return cost. You must not arrange your own return without permission.

Your legal rights concerning faulty or misdescribed products are not affected by these Terms.

11. Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

For an eligible consumer cancellation, we will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Additional amounts paid for express, timed or enhanced delivery are not normally refundable.

Where you wait until we receive the product, or receive evidence that it has been returned, before issuing the refund.

Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days after the returned product or satisfactory evidence of return is received. Payment-provider processing times may vary.

12. Age-restricted products

Some products, including certain knives, blades, axes and other bladed or restricted items, may only be purchased by customers aged 18 or over.

We do not sell prohibited weapons or products that cannot legally be supplied.

When ordering an age-restricted product, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old; you must complete any required age and identity checks; photographic identification may be required at checkout or delivery; and age-restricted products may not be eligible for unattended delivery, delivery to a safe place, parcel locker or delivery to another person.

We may cancel an order if we cannot verify the buyer's age or identity, or if completing the sale or delivery would breach applicable law.

13. Manufacturer warranties

Some products may include a manufacturer warranty or guarantee. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product. Please contact the manufacturer directly where required and retain any documents, photographs, video or other evidence requested.

Please contact FinnsDirect first if you believe you have a warranty issue that materially affects your order. This does not remove any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Website use and intellectual property

You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, submit fraudulent information or systematically copy or extract website content without permission.

The FinnsDirect name, logo, original website text, graphics and design are owned by or licensed to Finnsmate Limited.

Manufacturer names, trademarks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

15. Personal information

We process personal information normally in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may share information required to process an order with payment providers, fraud-prevention providers, warehouses, couriers and other service providers involved in fulfilling the order.

Please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for further information.

16. Complaints

Please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve your complaint.

Use our Contact Us form or email support@finnsdirect.co.uk, including your order number and a clear explanation of the issue.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any legal right.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms applying to an order will normally be those published when the order was placed.

The latest version will appear on this page with the date it was last updated.

18. Governing law

These Terms and orders placed through FinnsDirect are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Consumers retain any mandatory protections available in the part of the United Kingdom where they live.

Business customers agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
